In August, the Foundation organised a group of 11 current students and recent leavers to connect with Old Reigatians for the annual Changing Lives Telephone Campaign. Throughout the 2 week calling period, the team completed over 600 calls with conversations ranging from past experiences, shared memories, school development and of course the progress of the Changing Lives initiative.

The support shown by Old Reigatians was tremendous. This year’s telephone campaign was by far our most successful to date and we are delighted to report that over a third of alumni who spoke to one of our former students decided to make a donation. Our callers had many enjoyable conversations with OR’s from the UK and around the world, and judging from the feedback we have received, our OR’s thoroughly enjoyed being contacted. At the end of the 2 week calling campaign, the Foundation had already received over £55k and there remains more to come through pledges made over the telephone.

This year’s Telephone Campaign has revealed a deep rooted commitment to supporting the aspirations of talented students who may require financial assistance to experience all that RGS has to offer.
