Nightingale Festival: for one night only!

After everything we’ve been through over the last 18 months, we thought our Reigatian community deserved a spectacular evening of music, champagne and laughter, in the grounds of the school, at our biggest RGS Foundation event ever!

When: 11 September 2021, 4pm-11pm
Where: Broadfield Lawn, Reigate Grammar School
Ticket price: £50 per person

The Nightingale Festival will raise money for the Nightingale Fund, launched in 2020 in response to the pandemic, specifically to help the children of low-paid NHS and key worker families, through our Changing Lives social mobility programme. It will also help create the next generation of NHS heroes by offering Sixth Form bursaries to aspiring medics from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The global Reigatian community is a very special group of individuals that selflessly provides support, compassion and valuable connections in times of need. Nowhere has this been more evident than over the last 15 months where we have seen our community rise to the challenges of the pandemic.

Whether it be our celebrated NHS Heroes who have selflessly put themselves on the frontline, keeping us and our loved ones safe, or our RGS volunteers who have assisted those in our community who are vulnerable, requiring a weekly shop or collection of prescriptions from the pharmacy – the sense of community has never been stronger.

The Nightingale Festival is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to our community and bringing us all back together after what has been such a difficult year for so many.

The festival will be a celebration of music, with a variety of headline acts and exciting guest appearances. Broadfield Lawn will be transformed into an array of giant tipi tents full of wonderful entertainment and cocktail bars, street market food, delicious desserts and even a Champagne Dumangin J. Fils tent from our very own RGS parent, Gilles Dumangin.

For updates, follow RGS Foundation on social media, where we will be revealing more of the line-up and attractions over the coming months: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, RGS app.

Our community is so important to the work that we do to help disadvantaged children through life-changing bursaries. We are delighted that local estate agents, Ralph James, is supporting the Nightingale Fund by sponsoring the Festival. Not only is Ralph James one of the leading estate agents in the Reigate and Redhill area, but they also have a big heart.
