Nightingale Festival: food and drink

You have your ticket, you know about the fantastic acts and now you are probably wondering what you will be able to eat and drink at the festival?

We have an abundance of treats for you to enjoy and these can be purchased using your Nightingale Pounds. One Nightingale Pound = £1. No cash will be taken on the bar or on food stalls, but you will be able to purchase additional Nightingale Pounds on the day (by cash and card) at the relevant point.

Enjoy fabulous food from around the world

All of the main dishes available at the festival are produced by Reigate Grammar School’s very own award-winning chef, Luke Hardy. The even better news is that the street food market is sponsored by Chartwells, meaning that every penny that you spend on delicious food will go directly to helping disadvantaged children through the Nightingale Fund.

Head to the food market and pick up some loaded veggie nachos or a crispy shredded duck miso ramen box.

If it’s sweet treats you’re after then visit the marquee, where you can purchase a trio of desserts, ice-creams or waffles.

What’s your tipple?

Whilst in the marquee, you will notice the impressive long bar, where you can purchase Champagne Dumangin or Silent Pool Gin

We are very lucky that one of our RGS parents, Gilles Dumagin is sponsoring the champagne at the event and local gin distillery, Silent Pool, is sponsoring the gin. Therefore, you are doing a good thing by drinking (responsibly), indeed it is fully encouraged, as again, any money that you spend will go directly to the help children through the Nightingale Fund.

If beer is your beverage of choice, head over to our beer tent, provided by Pilgrim Brewery, where you can choose from a variety of ales, lagers or ciders, brewed in Reigate.

Soft drinks, wine and other spirits can be purchased from our tipi bar at the entrance to the festival.

There will be water points around the site, where you can fill up your water bottles, please feel free to bring your own reusable bottle with you.

All of the plastic used at the event will be biodegradable.

Your Nightingale Pounds will be distributed on arrival at the registration tent, along with your ticket, wristband and festival pack.
