This year, in conjunction with the marvellous Sports Department, we are looking to develop Cricketing facilities at RGS Hartswood for the 2019 season and beyond.

The overall aim of the project is to:

• Improve the overall standard of cricket training & playing facilities at Hartswood
• Increase participation/ number of teams and fixtures for girls and boys
• Pioneer women’s cricket
• Raise calibre of opposition
• Develop links with Surrey CCC
• Improve connections with local clubs and feeder schools

Through the generosity of some key Reigatian community members, work is already underway and we are thrilled to see this project gathering momentum. In particular, a new astroturf wicket has already been installed, along with new RGS branded cricket covers, sight screens, batting cage and boundary rope & winder.

The next stage of this exciting project will require some significant investment as we look to carry out the following:

• Complete 1st XI square regeneration (10 wickets) including drain installation
• Nets refurbishment
• Installation of repeater scoreboard

As part of this initiative we have been very generously donated some fabulous auction items for some truly wonderful experiences.
