RGS: Changing Lives since 1675...

Ways to Donate

#

By pulling together we can make a real difference…

Founded in 1675, through the benefaction of Henry Smith, RGS has experienced a long history of philanthropic support. Now as we move towards our 350th anniversary we have a clear vision of how we want to broaden social access, enhance educational opportunities and develop our facilities.

All donations make a significant difference, no matter how large or small, and are greatly valued by the school. Our future success depends upon the benevolence of the whole Reigatian community and we invite you to contribute with them and help shape the future of our great school and the pupils therein.

We welcome your gifts, no matter how large or small. We would encourage our supporters to give regularly (each month, or quarter, or yearly), though we are thankful for single cash gift donations.

  • Cheque (made payable to ‘Reigate Grammar School Foundation’)

  • With any cash donation we would encourage UK taxpayers to use the Gift Aid scheme at no extra cost. Tax-efficient giving makes your donation go further by allowing the recovery of tax already paid by you to HMRC. If you are a UK taxpayer, the RGS Foundation receives an additional £25 for every £100 you give. If you pay income tax at the higher rate, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment tax return, if you want to receive the additional tax relief due to you.

Testimonials...

RGS gave me the superb education my parents could not have afforded. I’ve never forgotten that... So I decided to give a bursary to a first year student and I hope it gives her some of the opportunities RGS gave to me.

Andrew Sullivan (RGS 1974-1981)

The lessons learned in those RGS years were certainly formative in terms of teamwork, resilience and lifelong learning.

Iain McLean (RGS 1971-1974)

Maybe if I had not had the opportunities and encouragement from RGS my life would have followed another path. Those days seem many miles away now but I will never forget my five happy years there.

Laurie Reed (RGS 1948-1953)
