New York City provided the scenic backdrop for our connected Reigatians based in and around the region to gather for an informal social on Tuesday 7 May 2024. With the Headmaster, Shaun Fenton and RGS Foundation Director Jonny Hylton in attendance, the evening provided the opportunity to share the latest updates of all things RGS both on the domestic and international front.

We were delighted to welcome some stalwarts of our RGS American Friends group, along with some new members that have just commenced their adventure in the city. As ever our thanks go to Michael Lloyd (RGS ’86) and Eliot Yaxley (RGS ’93) for their help and support with this connected group and securing the lively venue!

The group were informed of the upcoming 350 celebrations in 2025, the exciting plans linked to the new Changing Lives, Building Futures campaign and how our Reigatians in the US can find their fit with our important work. We are exploring hosting a celebratory event in NYC as part of this programme at some point over the next few years, so keep your eyes peeled for further developments and information. We are looking to link up with a local New York educational charity, so if you have any ideas then please do let us know.
