In tribute to our founder – Henry Smith, we celebrate today as ‘Founders Day’. RGS was founded after, great philanthropist, Henry Smith bequeathed £1000 to the parish to be used to ‘educate the poor boys of Reigate’. We recognise this day every year in May – the month of Henry Smith’s birthday.

In 2025 RGS will celebrate it’s 350th year!
