Dash to the Med 2 – RH2 to Antibes!

We are thrilled to be a part of the upcoming Dash to the Med 2 event! On the 7th of June 2023, at 17:00, a group of fifteen cars, all soft tops and costing less than £999, will depart from Old Reigatian Rugby Club on Park Lane in Reigate, driving to the Antibes in the South of France over four days. It’s going to be an adventure like no other!

We are proud to be involved with this exciting initiative in car #350 (linked to the forthcoming 350 celebration of RGS in 2025), which not only promises a thrilling journey but also aims to raise funds for four incredible charities, of which the RGS Foundation is one.

The other three charities, Renewed Hope, East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services (ESDAS), and My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, also hold tremendous significance in our community. Renewed Hope’s dedication to helping the homeless, vulnerable, and isolated individuals resonates deeply with our values of compassion and inclusivity. ESDAS plays a crucial role in promoting a life free from threats, violence, and abuse, which is a cause we firmly support. Lastly, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation’s relentless pursuit of a world free of Motor Neuron Disease inspires us to stand together and make a difference.

As the cars embark on their adventure, driving with the roof down regardless of rain or shine, we can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and honour to be included with such an esteemed group of individuals – all of which has been made possible by the tireless work of Reigatian, Chris Driscoll (former RGS Parent). It is the hope that collectively we can raise £80,000 that will be split evenly across four charities.

We encourage everyone to show their support for the Dash to the Med 2 event by following their social media pages on Facebook (Dash To The Med 2), Instagram (dashtothemed2), and Twitter (@dashtothemed2). Let’s cheer on the participants as they embark on this remarkable journey, waving them off with enthusiasm and joining in the pre-departure festivities at the rugby club. It’s a fantastic opportunity to come together as a community, enjoy some delicious BBQ and beverages, and share in the joy and laughter that awaits.

We are honoured to be associated with such a unique and impactful community event. We extend our heartfelt wishes to all the drivers, co-drivers, and volunteers involved. May the road ahead be filled with memorable experiences, and may the funds raised make a lasting difference in the lives of those supported by these wonderful charities.

Huge thanks go to Richard Clews at Ashworth & Bird the premier destination for luxury fashion for men and women in Reigate and Jason Vince from Earlswood Homes, an award winning, privately-owned property development company and house builder that focuses on delivering high quality homes in desirable locations for their premium sponsorship.
